Galouye , February 11, 1920 - September 7, 1976) - American science fiction writer, was born and died in New Orleans. Graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and worked as a reporter for several newspapers. From 1940 until his retirement in 1967 he worked for the newspaper The States Item . During World War II, he served in the US Navy as an instructor and test pilot, suffering injuries that later led to health complications. On December 26, 1945, he married Sarmela Barbara Jordan. Lived in New Orleans, but also had a summer home across Lake Pontchartrain in St.

Tammany County in Covington, Louisiana. During the 50s and 60s, Daniel Galuy supplied stories and stories to science fiction magazines, sometimes under the pseudonym Louis G.
