Guy Haley is a British science fiction writer, journalist and critic, most of whose works relate to the world of "Warhammer 40,000". Born June 6, 1973 in Yorkshire, England. He lived in Somerset for twenty years, and in 2013 he returned to Yorkshire, where he lives with his wife Emma and little son Benny. His career as a writer began in 1997 at SFX Magazine, where he rose to the position of Deputy Editor. Hayley left SFX Magazine to become editor of the renowned gaming magazine White Dwarf. After working in this position for three years, he left to organize the release of the science fiction magazine "Death Ray", where he also managed to work as an editor. After closing this magazine in 2009, he became a freelance writer. Much of Haley`s work is from the Warhammer inter-author universe. For the fantasy branch of Hammer of War, he wrote the novels Skarsnik and The Rise of the Horned Rat. Continues work to replenish the new universe "Warhammer: Age of Sigmar". The world of "Warhammer 40,000" was not ignored either. For the "Imperial Guard" series, novels were written about the crews of the super-heavy tanks "Blade of Blade" and "Shadow Sword". In the series "Battles of the Space Marines" was written a novel about the confrontation of two orders of Space Marines against genestealers "The Fall of Unity", a story about the war with Tau in the Gulf of Damocles "Broken Sword", as well as a collection of Black Templars "Crusaders of Dorn". Hayley continues to develop the universe about the return of the primarchs with the Dark Imperium series, and is also actively involved in the writing of the Horus Heresy and The Beast Arises series. Hayley also has independent works that are not related to inter-author projects. First of all, this is a noir-detective cycle "Richards & Klein Investigations", which tells about the world of the future and virtual reality, where investigations are conducted by two detectives, one of whom is artificial intelligence, and the second is an android. Another Hayley cycle is the post-apocalyptic epic fantasy A Tale of the Dreaming Cities. Guy Haley is also the author of two off-cycle novels - the Martian "Time Opera" (by analogy with the space opera) "Champion of Mars" and the dystopian space opera "Crash". In addition, Hayley was editor-in-chief of Sci-Fi Chronicles: A Visual History of the Galaxy`s Greatest Science Fiction.
