Sara Zettel (b.

1966) lives in Michigan with her husband Tim. The writer has released five science fiction novels: "Reclamation" (1996), "Fool`s War" (1997), marked by the "New York Times", "Depicting God" ("Playing God, 1998), The Quiet Invasion (2000) and Kingdom of Cages (Tne Kingdom of Cages, 2001). In addition, Zettel also works in the fjupezi genre - in 2002, the novel Sorcerer`s Treason was released, which is the first part of a trilogy. Luck did not come to the writer immediately - after “six years of trial and billions of failures”, in 1991 “Analog” finally published her story “Driven by Moonlight”. According to Zettel`s recollections, the editor-in-chief Stan Schmidt was motivated by the inaccuracies found in the works: an error in the lunar calendar, scientifically incredible mechanisms, non-existent fish, etc.

About himself Zettel says: “When they claimed that I was writing science fiction, I was very surprised: I adore science fiction, but I hate science. But then I realized that I can’t stand only physics, which is mortally boring to me. Biology, anthropology, chemistry, archeology are another matter, I write about them with pleasure.
