A book by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Susan Elizabeth Phillips ( Phillips Susan Elizabeth ) is a New York Times bestselling author. She sold her first book three weeks after it was offered to a publisher. The biography offered to the readers` attention does not stand out from a number of stories that other novelists tell about themselves: family as a vital dominant, longing during the period of "feeding babies", and the frenzied success of the first romantic masterpiece, written out of boredom and a desire to remind the world of its existence. The only difficulty: we have not been able to get a single more or less decent portrait of this writer. Apparently, she doesn`t like being photographed. So ...

Phillips lives in a suburb of Chicago and is proud of three men in his life - two sons and a husband whom she met on a "blind date" when he was in college to become an engineer. By her own admission, she started writing by accident. After the birth of her eldest son, Susan left her job as a teacher at school and became a housewife, and in 1976 the family moved from Ohio to New Jersey. Claire`s best friend lived next door, and both Claire and Susan loved to read, discussed what they read, shared what they liked and disliked in books. And somehow as a joke they decided to write the book themselves ...

When half of the manuscript was ready, Susan and Claire called the editor of the Dell publishing house, she listened to them, asked a few questions about the book and asked for a resume. A few weeks later, Susan and Claire sent the manuscript to the publisher. Three weeks later there was a call from Dell - the publishing house decided to conclude a contract with the new authors. The second general book was completed a year later, and was published in 1983 under the name "The Copeland Bride under the pseudonym Justine Cole ( Justine Cole ).

Soon the authors` union broke up - Claire She moved and her dream of law school came true - now Claire is a thriving Assistant Attorney General of the United States in one of the border states - so Susan Philips had to work on her next book alone.
