Catherine`s College. He worked as a teacher in Essex, lecturer at Doncaster College. In 1981 he retired. In 1970, Reginald published the first detective story, A clubbable woman, which marked the beginning of his most significant series of works about Superintendent Delziel and Inspector Pascoe. The series was filmed. Hill is the author of yet another series - about Joey Sixsmith - and a number of off-series detectives. Reginald Hill`s work is not limited to detective stories. He is the author of several adventure novels signed by the pseudonym Charles Underhill and sci-fi fictions released under the pseudonym Dick Morland. The writer`s works received the Barry, Gold Dagger and Cartier Diamond Dagger awards.  Detective. Declaration of love . ***** Reginald Hill is an English writer, a resident of Yorkshire, where he settled and the main characters of almost all of his novels. The novel "Sociable Woman" (1970) brought him fame, in which he first introduced readers to his heroes - the head of the criminal investigation department Andrew Dalziel and his young assistant Peter Pascoe. The readers immediately fell in love with these bright colorful images; in total, more than twenty books were published in the series. Superintendent Andrew (more often Andy) Dalzil is an old-school devotee. He is unfriendly, tongue-tied, rude, and does not hesitate to scratch his ass in public. Divorced - the wife ran away with the milkman. For all that, he`s just a brilliant detective. Second: Sergeant (later Lieutenant) Peter Pascoe. A university graduate with excellent manners, he is the exact opposite of Dalzil. Despite this, their relationship from purely professional flows into a strong male friendship. Based on this series, the popular BBC television series ("Dalziel and Pascoe", 60 episodes, 1996-2007) was filmed. Heal`s other books have also been screened. The writer died on January 12, 2012 after a long illness associated with a brain tumor.  Hill`s page on Random House site , Wikipedia , IMDb> Reginald Hill .  Bibliography Series Dalziel and Pascoe - Dalziel and Pascoe 1970 - 1.
