William Arden, real name Dennis Linds, is one of the writers of the Three Investigators series. Dennis was born in 1924 in St.

Louis, the son of actors. He spent his childhood in New York. In college, he received a bachelor`s degree in chemistry. He graduated from the Department of Journalism at Syracuse University. During the Second World War he took part in hostilities, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. At one time he worked as an editor for a New York magazine, but in 1965 he moved to California, where he devoted himself entirely to writing. since 1967, Dennis Linds has written a series of detective novels under the pseudonym of Michael Collins. His first detective received the Edgar Allan Poe award in 1968. Under the pseudonym William Arden, Dennis Linds began writing the sequel to The Three Investigators. He also wrote under other pseudonyms. His first child detective in this episode was "The Mystery of the Moaning Cave." From 1968 to 1989, Dennis Linds wrote 13 stories and another outside the series. Source: https://litvek.com/avtor/3197-avtor-uilyam-arden
