Robert Charles Wilson was born in California, USA but grew up in Toronto and spent most of his life in Canada. He received Canadian citizenship in 2007. Wilson currently lives with his wife Sherry in Concord, Ontario, north of Toronto. He has two sons, Paul and Devon. His books have won a number of prestigious awards: Hugo for Spin, John W. Campbell Memorial Award for Chronoliths, Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award for The Cartesian Theater, three Aurora Awards for Blind Lake and Darwinia And the short story The Perseids, as well as the Philip K. Dick Award for the novel Mysterium. In addition to 15 novels (two of which are pending), Wilson is also the author of The Perseids and Other Stories. He published his first story in 1975 under the pseudonym Bob Chuck Wilson. In his works, Wilson combines subtle and verified psychology with exciting science fiction ideas. Stephen King called Wilson "arguably the best SF writer to date." His most famous novel, Spin, opens a trilogy that also includes Axis and Vortex. The novel "Julian: A Christmas Story", translated into Russian, became a finalist for the Hugo Prize and became the basis for the novel "Julian Comstock, A Story of the 22nd. Century ”, which is planned to be published in the summer of 2009.
