Katherine Alice Applegate - American writer, author of books for adults and children in the genre of science fiction and fantasy. Among her works are the popular book series "Animorphs", "Survivors", "Everworld" and others. Catherine Applegate was born in 1956 in Michigan, lived in Texas, Florida, California, Illinois, North Carolina, and for a while in Italy. He currently lives in Irvine, California. In 1997, Applegate received the Best New Children`s Book Series from Publishers Weekly. Katherine`s husband, Michael Grant , is the co-author of many of her books, including the Animorph and Everworld series. In 2003, Katherine and Michael adopted a girl in China. After the conclusion of the series "The Survivors," Applegate took a break from creativity for three years. After returning to literature, she wrote the illustrated book Buffalo Storm, followed by the middle-class novel Home of the Brave and the first chapters of the Roscoe Riley Rules series (all from HarperCollins)....
