Tavia Michaels is the sole survivor of the plane crash that killed her parents. When she starts to see strange visions of a boy she’s never spoken with in real life, she begins to suspect that there’s much about her past that she isn’t being told.

Tavia immediately searches for answers, desperate to determine why she feels so drawn to a boy she hardly knows. But when Tavia discovers that the aunt and uncle who took her in after her parents` death may have actually been responsible for the plane crash that killed them--and that she may have been the true intended victim--she flees for the safety of Camden, Maine, where the boy she sees in her visions instructs her to go.

Now, Tavia is on the run with no one to trust. No one, that is, except for her best friend and longtime crush, Benson.

Tavia feels torn between the boy who mysteriously comes to her at night and the boy who has been by her side every step of the way. But what Tavia doesn`t know is that the world is literally falling apart and that to save it she will have to unite with the boy in her visions. Only problem? To do so would mean rejecting Benson`s love. And that`s the one thing Tavia Michaels swore she`d never do.

Eprilynn Pike - Born in 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah, her childhood was spent in Phoenix, Arizona. Since childhood, Mrs.

Pike had a very vivid imagination and invented magical stories. When Eprilinn was a teenager, her family moved to Idaho, where the future writer graduated from high school. Eprilinn received a scholarship to further her studies and attended Lewis-Clark State College located in Lewiston, Idaho. She went to college for three years, studied writing and theater, and eventually earned her BA in Creative Writing. In her student years, she worked as a waitress, was a companion with an elderly woman. In her free time she played in amateur theater, including the role of Lisa Dolittle in My Fair Lady. Eprilinn met her future husband, Kenneth Pike, at a service in the Mormon church. According to her, it was love at first sight. Shortly after they met, Kenneth was transferred from Lewiston to another location. For eighteen months, lovers, deprived of the opportunity to communicate by phone and email, as in the old days, regularly exchanged paper letters. Two weeks after Kenneth`s mission ended, he introduced Eprilinn to his parents in Phoenix, and they were married five weeks later. After graduating from college, Eprilinn went to Provo, Utah, where her husband studied philosophy. During his studies, Eprilinn supported the family by teaching waitresses and later working as a deputy manager at a restaurant. After the birth of their first child, she was forced to leave her job, and their family moved in with a lonely old gentleman with whom they shared a house and began to take care of. It was then that Eprilinn first tried to write her first novel. At the same time, she completed editorial courses at the local private Mormon Brigham Young University and began doing various editorial work for the Covenant Book. After Kenneth received his Bachelor of Philosophy, they briefly moved to live in his parents` home in Fenique, Arizona. Their second child was born there. Kenneth took a job as a teacher, and Eprilinn became a certified midwife and instructor in a young mothers course at the Arizona Supported Birth of Arizona. She volunteered for the local branch of The National Crittenton Foundation, where she taught classes with pregnant schoolgirls and took care of some of them after childbirth. Then Eprilinn and her husband returned to Provo so that Kenneth could attend Briam Young University Law School. By that time, Eprilinn already had three completed novels, and she was trying with might and main to find herself a literary agent. Six months later, Jodi Reamer agreed to represent the aspiring writer. Since publishers were never interested in her writing, Eprilinn decided to try writing for a different readership and began writing her first novel for teenagers. She finished work on the book a few weeks before the birth of her third child. This manuscript, too, could not be attached for quite a while, so Eprilinn began to think that she was engaged in empty dreams, and it was time to return to teaching courses and caring for newborns. But soon there was a call from her literary agent, who said that HarperTeen was interested in the latest manuscript. After several months of reworking, editing and finalizing the text, the book went to print. EPRILYNN PIKE`s debut novel Wings (2009) was released a few weeks after her husband graduated from law school and their family moved to Arizona, where they currently live. © Grumbler Reviews Official Website http://aprilynnepike.com/ Blog http://apparentlyaprilynne.blogspot.com/
