Arnaldur Indriðason (Icelandic Arnaldur Indriðason ) Icelandic detective writer, son of the writer Indridi Thorsteinsson. Born January 28, 1961 in Reykjavik. For many years he worked as a journalist and film critic (from 1986 to 2001) for the daily newspaper "Morgunblaðið", in 1996 he received a bachelor`s degree in history from the University of Iceland. Indridason published his first book in 1997 with immediate acclaim. In 2002 and 2003 he won the Glass Key Award for the best Scandinavian detective book, in 2005 the Golden Dagger of the British Detective Writers Association for the novel Stone Bag (Grafarþögn, 2001), as well as other detective awards ... The novel "Bog" (Mýrin, 2000) was successfully filmed in 2006. The main character of Indridason`s works is the detective Erlend. The writer`s books have been published in more than 30 countries and translated into 25 languages, more than 6 million copies have been sold. The writer lives in Reykjavik, is married and has three children.  Wikipedia (de.) , Julia interviews Arnaldur Indriðason Bibliography Series Detective Erlendur - Elend 1997 - 1.
