David Gaider is a Canadian science fiction writer and computer game developer. Was born in 1971. Since 1999 he has been living and working in Edmonton, Alberta. Gaider began his professional career as a manager in the service sector, in restaurants and hotels. Games were just a pleasant hobby for him. In 1999, a friend of David`s, Calvin, proposed him to the executives at BioWare. Initially, Gaider reacted coolly to the idea, but the next day, the owner of the hotel, which he ran, changed. Left without work, Gaider decided to try himself as a game developer. His first assignment was to write the script for Baldur`s Gate 2. He also worked on a number of characters in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Gaider soon became the main writer on Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark and the highly acclaimed Dragon Age line of games. Following the success of Dragon Age: Origins, David Gaider began writing a series of books detailing the back story of the first game. The...
