She’s searching for answers to her past. They’re hunting her to save their future.

World War III has left the world ravaged by nuclear radiation. A lucky few escaped to the Alaskan wilderness. They’ve survived for the last thirty years by living off the land, being one with nature, and hiding from whoever else might still be out there.

At least, this is what Juneau has been told her entire life.

When Juneau returns from a hunting trip to discover that everyone in her clan has vanished, she sets off to find them. Leaving the boundaries of their land for the very first time, she learns something horrifying: There never was a war. Cities were never destroyed. The world is intact. Everything was a lie.

Now Juneau is adrift in a modern-day world she never knew existed. But while she’s trying to find a way to rescue her friends and family, someone else is looking for her. Someone who knows the extraordinary truth about the secrets of her past.

A book by Amy Plum

Amy Plum / Amy Plum is a French-based writer of American descent. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She learned to read at the age of four, as a teenager she fell in love with science fiction and fantasy, which allowed her to escape to beautiful and fascinating imaginary worlds from the boring life of the American hinterland. She studied at the University of Chicago, but she did not like it there (students could be expelled "for dancing", and she herself was once called to the dean`s office for "wearing too much black"), so she fled to France, to Paris, where she could dance what she wanted and wear whatever she wanted. After living for five years in Paris, she traveled to England, studied art history in London and earned a master`s degree in the history of medieval painting (with a specialization in the early works of the Siena School of Painting (1260-1348)). She managed to find work in the field of art and antiques in New York, but after ten years the hectic and stressful life of the American metropolis she was finally tired of, and Amy again moved to France, settling in a town of 1,300 people. She married a Frenchman, taught English at the University of Tours (Tours). After signing an agreement with the HarperCollins publishing house for the Revenants cycle, she left her job and became a professional writer. She currently lives in Paris with her two children. Author`s site:
