Stan Nicholls United Kingdom (1948) Stan Nicholls was born in London. From 1965-1971 he worked at the London Branch of the Library of Congress. From 1965-1970 he was co-editor of a small magazine, then co-owner and manager of the Bookends bookstore in London, and subsequently worked in various bookstores. Since 1976, he is the first manager of Forbidden Planet`s bookstore, helping to open its New York branch; currently holds the position of a consultant. Since 1973, Stan Nicholls has collaborated as an editor with the publishing houses Penguin, Rider Books, Sphere Books, and has contributed to the production of more than 40 books. From 1981-1998 he was editor for Pan Books, Random House, Orbit and Carnell Literature Agency. He also gained fame as a journalist who actively published materials on science fiction in various publications. Stan Nichols began his literary career as an author in 1981, he wrote children`s books, participated in the creation of comics and short stories. Among his books are Guardians of Lightning, Legion of Thunder, Warriors of the Storm, and others.

In addition to writing and publishing, Stan Nicholls has also taught writing and journalism courses at the University of London and Westminster Institute for Adult Education. As a copywriter, he has been involved in a number of major advertising campaigns, including for the agency Saatchi & Saatchi. Stan has also served as a moderator (ie “editor”) for “The CompuServe Science Fiction Community”, a regularly updated interactive science fiction / fantasy / horror magazine that has published news, reviews, articles, reviews, interviews and event announcements since its opening on the 8th.
