This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside. It all begins here! Hugh Howey`s bestselling Wool makes the leap into comics, with mysteries and thrills for new fans and surprises for the already faithful. In issue #1 of 6: The Silo is explored, and a lie is revealed.

Howey About myself: Born in 1975, I spent the first 18 years of my life trying to break free from the iron grip of high school. At the same time, I dabbled in football, chess and tried several times to write my first novel. Having escaped from school, I was fascinated by computers and even, to make a living, was engaged in their repair. I wanted to learn more about them, so I went to Charleston, South Carolina and went to college. To save money, I bought a small yacht to live on and almost killed myself ferrying it from Baltimore with a friend. After my penultimate course, perhaps out of fear of real life, I left my little safe harbor and sailed south. I wandered around the islands for a while, got caught in two hurricanes and spent the rest of my travel money resetting the mast. It was time to return to the States where I began my career as a yacht captain. Thus began an exciting and exciting phase in my life, traveling all over the East Coast and the Caribbean, from Barbados to Chicago. I have worked on yachts in New York, the Bahamas, even Canada. One of these adventures brought me into contact with my future wife, who was able to distract me from my wandering lifestyle by dropping an anchor and buying a house. Although physically settling in one place, my mind continued to wander, composing stories of adventures and taking me to fantastic places. Some of these stories seemed worth sharing with others, so I remembered my love for books and decided to put my stories on paper. My first stories describe the life of a character I have been working on for quite some time. When I`m not writing my Molly saga, I love to go camping with my family, watch sports on TV, and keep reading. I currently live in Boone, North Carolina. A small town in the mountains with a good university and a wide range of political life and socio-economic conditions. http://www.hughhowey.com
