Graham McNeill was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He currently lives in Scotland. Studied as an architect. One day he came across an issue of the magazine “White Dwarf”, in which an advertisement was placed inviting authors to cooperate, and Graham decided to test his strength. Since February 2000, he has been working in Games Workshop`s game development department on the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer teams. McNeill contributed to the Codexes (rules of the game): Tau, Necrons, Chaos Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Demonhunters, Witch Hunters and Space Marines. Also Graham McNeill writes fiction about the universes “Warhammer 40,000” and “Warhammer”. To date, he is the author of eight novels published in Black Libraries: Night Bringer (2002), Ultramar Warriors (2003) and Black Sun (2004) from the Ultramarine Order, Ambassador of the Empire and Ursun`s Teeth from the Ambassador series, as well as Storm of Iron (2002). Another “Warhammer” novel by McNeill, Guardians of the Forest, has recently been released. Graham McNeill is also fond of the games themselves – both “Warhammer Fantasy” and “Warhammer 40,000”. In the first, he prefers the Imperial army, in the second – the armies of the Tau Empire and the Necrons (he started playing for the Ultramarines). He loves to watch movies and has a collection of films on DVD. McNeill is also a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
