Jane Austen Books



Jane Austen (English Jane Austen, possibly writing Austen, 1775-1817) – English writer, herald of realism in British literature, the founder of the family, “ladies` romance”. Her books are considered recognized masterpieces and conquer with artless sincerity and simplicity of the plot, against the background of deep psychological penetration into the souls of the heroes and ironic, soft, truly “English” humor. Jane Austen is still considered the “First Lady” of English literature. Her works are required for study in all colleges and universities in the UK.  Biography Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775 in the town of Steventon (Hampshire), in the family of Pastor George Austin. In addition to her, the family had six boys and one girl (Cassandra). During her childhood and adolescence, Jane read a lot. In 1783-1786 she studied at Oxford, Southampton and Reading. In the future, her life was poor in external events. The writer did not travel much and did not marry until the end of her life, although she received at least one marriage proposal. In 2007, the movie “Becoming Jane” was shot about her personal life. The writer died on July 18, 1817 in Winchester, where she went to be treated for Addison`s disease. Before she died, she tried to finish her last novel, Senditon.  List of works Youth works
